Questions, answered
Everything agents ask before their first mission. Can't find yours? Call +64 21 0225 4443.
What should we expect?
A warm welcome with snacks and refreshments, then your Game Master briefs the team and assigns roles. You'll have 60 minutes inside, and afterwards a team photo in front of one of our backdrops. Allow about 90 minutes from start to finish.
Who can play?
Everyone aged 8 and up. Every puzzle can be solved with logic, deduction and the clues in the room, so you don't need any prior knowledge. A Game Master watches every room and is ready with hints.
Can kids play?
Yes. We recommend ages 8+. Groups of children 12 and under need an adult playing with them, and that adult plays free. Under-12s are $25. Children under 8 can join their family, but some elements may not be suitable for them to handle.
Are your venues wheelchair accessible?
Atlantis at 195 Victoria St is wheelchair accessible, and we're part of the Hāpai Access Card scheme there. Our Johnston St venue (Spaceship and Temple) unfortunately isn't.
Where are you?
Spaceship and Ancient Temple are at 12 Johnston St (lower level of Aviation House). Atlantis is at Katipo House, 195 Victoria St, Te Aro. After hours and on weekends, ring the doorbell in the foyer.
What are your opening hours?
We're open 7 days, from 9.30am till late. Walk-ins are possible until 8pm when a room is free. Please book online for games after 8pm.
Will there be hints?
Yes, as many as you need, with no penalties and no limits. It's our job to help you complete your mission.
Will I be locked in?
No. You can step out of the room at any time, and emergency exits are always available.
Which game do you recommend for us?
Temple suits couples, duos, small groups and kids. Spaceship is for sci-fi fans and anyone who wants a fully automated, lock-free game. Atlantis is our largest and hardest room, with gorgeous artistic sets. Or try the Mission Matcher.
Is it too hard for my team?
Every game is first-timer friendly. Difficulty depends on team size, because it's based on how many puzzles each player has to solve in an hour. We'll give hints, and often a little extra time if needed.
What if we can't finish in an hour?
No worries. Your Game Master will help you along, and we can usually add a little extra time.
What if we're running late?
Within 15 minutes we'll do our best, but we can't guarantee your full 60 minutes. If you're more than 30 minutes late we have to cancel the game, and the booking is still charged.
We're unsure of our final team size.
Book for the minimum you expect. Extra players can be added and pay on-site by EFTPOS or cash.
Can I buy gift cards?
Yes. Buy a gift card for any amount. It never expires and works for any of our games.
What should I bring?
Your wits, smiles, mates and good vibes. Wear closed shoes if you can (jandals are OK). We love high heels, but they might slow you down.
Any health considerations?
Our games contain a lot of electronics and electromagnetic locks, which can interfere with some medical devices. Let us know before you play.
Can we celebrate on-site?
Yes. The meeting room at Johnston St (with kitchenette) is free for an hour and fits up to 20 people. BYO snacks and drinks. Please book it in advance.
